SSS now accepting contributions from voluntary, OFW members through ShopeePay

State-run private sector workers’ pension fund Social Security System (SSS) on Wednesday announced that self-employed, voluntary, non-working spouses, and land-based overseas Filipino worker (OFW) members may now pay their contributions using ShopeePay.

“Our members and employers need secure and convenient methods for their SSS payments, especially during this time of the pandemic. We thank all our accredited collecting partners for making this possible by helping us provide additional payment options for our members and employers,” SSS president and CEO Michael Regino said in a statement.

ShopeePay is a remittance sub-agent of CIS Bayad Center Inc., an SSS-accredited collecting partner.

It is a digital wallet, accessible through the Shopee App, where users can make cashless payments for various online transactions such as bill payments.

Bayad Center and ShopeePay is among the SSS’s various accredited bank and non-bank collecting partners offering over-the-counter and online payment options in addition to the pension fund’s Automated Tellering System facilities located in its branches.
