Fuel prices seen to go up big-time next week
After a round of upward adjustments, motorists should expect another string of big-time hikes in the prices of petroleum products in the coming week, according to projections by Unioil Petroleum Philippines.
In its fuel price forecast for the February 15 to 21 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may increase by P1.00 to P1.10.
Gasoline prices, on the other hand, may go up by P1.10 to P1.20 per liter.
Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday to be effective the following day.
Effective February 8, fuel firms hiked gasoline prices by P1.05 per liter and diesel by P1.20 per liter.
Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P6.75 per liter for gasoline and P9.15 per liter for diesel. —KG, GMA News
