Oil firms announce big-time LPG price rollback effective January 1
Fuel companies on Friday announced big-time reductions in the prices of its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products effective January 1, 2022.
In an advisory, Petron said it would implement a P2.55 per kilogram rollback in its household LPG prices.
The price adjustment is equivalent to a P28.05 reduction in the price of a typical 11-kilogram LPG tank.
Petron said it would also slash its AutoLPG prices by P1.43 per liter.
The company’s LPG price adjustments would take effect at 12 a.m. Saturday, January 1.
“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of January,” Petron said.
In a separate advisory, Phoenix Petroleum said it will decrease the price of its Super LPG brand by P2.55 per kilogram and Auto LPG by P1.40 per liter, effective 12:01 a.m., Saturday.
Likewise, Solane announced a rollback of P2.55 per kilogram on its household LPG brand, effective 6 a.m. of January 1.
The retail price of an 11-kilogram LPG tank ranges from P835.93 to P1,032.75, according to the latest data available from the Department of Energy. — VBL/KG, GMA News
