Fuel price rollback seen next week
Motorists can get a sigh of relief amid the holiday spending spree as pump prices of petroleum products are expected to roll back in the coming week, according to projections by Unioil Petroleum Philippines.
In its fuel price forecast for the December 28, 2021 to January 3, 2022 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel should go down by P0.60 to P0.70.
Gasoline prices, meanwhile, may go down by P0.20 to P0.30 per liter.
Oil companies usually announce price adjustments every Monday to be implemented on the following day’s morning.
Effective December 21, Tuesday, fuel firms increase both gasoline and diesel prices by P0.55 per liter.
Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase P17.85 per liter for gasoline and P14.95 per liter for diesel. —KG, GMA News
