LT Group donates 15K doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Pasig City
Pasig City has received from the LT Group Inc. 15,000 doses of donated AstraZeneca and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
In a courtesy call on Wednesday, LTG President Michael Tan presented the deed of donation to Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto for 10,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines administered last August and October, and 5,000 doses of Moderna vaccines for use within the next few weeks.
Sotto expressed gratitude to the LTG, a holding firm of business tycoon Lucio Tan, saying that the donated vaccines will be allocated for PWDs.
“Malaking tulong po ito sa ating mga PWDs (This is a big help to our PWDs),” the Pasig mayor said in a statement.
The LTG earlier joined the country’s biggest conglomerates in ordering AstraZeneca and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in cooperation with the national government, Go Negosyo, and Razon Group’s ICTSI Foundation.
According to the firm, it has close to 40,000 employees and 14,000 third party service providers.
The LTG said its 20 vaccination sites nationwide were also opened to the families and immediate relatives of its employees. -Richa Noriega/NB, GMA News
