Maynilad moves water service interruptions to Oct. 29 to Nov. 1
Maynilad has rescheduled the water service interruptions in connection with a pipe realignment activity in Manila.
The service interruptions were originally planned for October 25 to 28, but Maynilad decided to move it to October 29 to November 1 following a “deluge of requests from customers to defer the activity so that they have more time to prepare.”
“This coincides with the break for Undas when people typically go to the provinces and fewer customers are expected to be home, thus mitigating the impact of the service interruptions on consumers,” Maynilad said in a statement.
“Given the deferment, Maynilad will also use the extra time to further increase our available complement of mobile water tankers and stationary water tanks, with the assistance of local government units and the local fire bureaus.”
The list of affected areas and their corresponding service interruption schedules remain the same.
“Only the dates of implementation were pushed back,” Maynilad said.
The service interruptions will cover Las Piñas; Makati; Manila; Parañaque; Pasay; Bacoor; Cavite City; Imus; Kawit, Cavite; Noveleta, Cavite; and Rosario, Cavite.
Earlier, Maynilad said the pipe realignment for the government’s flood control project would result in water supply interruptions ranging from 25 to 85 hours. — VBL, GMA News
