Nearly 3M Maynilad customers to face service interruptions next week
Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Monday said some 2.9 million customers in Metro Manila and Cavite will be affected by several hours of water service interruptions next week, as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake a flood control project.
The service interruptions were originally planned for October 25 to 28, but Maynilad decided to move it to October 29 to November 1 following a “deluge of requests from customers to defer the activity so that they have more time to prepare.”
Maynilad said the pipe realignment for the government’s flood control project would result in water supply interruptions ranging from 25 to 85 hours.
The service interruptions will cover Las Piñas; Makati; Manila; Parañaque; Pasay; Bacoor; Cavite City; Imus; Kawit, Cavite; Noveleta, Cavite; and Rosario, Cavite.
Below is a list of the areas affected and the interruption schedule:
Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela.
