Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up by P1 per liter Tuesday
Oil firms on Monday announced a big-time hike in pump prices of petroleum products, marking the seventh straight month of increases.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Inc. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P1.30, diesel by P1.50, and kerosene by P1.45.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, for all the firms except for Caltex which will adjust prices at 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements.
Latest data from the Department of Energy indicate that year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P16.55 per liter for gasoline, P15.00 per liter for diesel, and P12.74 per liter for kerosene as of October 5, 2021. —KG, GMA News
