Cebu Pacific to resume Manila-Hong Kong flights September 1
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Tuesday said it will restart direct flights between Manila and Hong Kong on Wednesday, September 1 with an initial schedule of six flights per week.
In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said its direct flights between the two destinations will be available daily except on Saturdays.
“There is latent travel demand and we remain cautiously optimistic as we boost operations where it is needed most," Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao said.
“We continue to listen to our passengers and we do all that we can to address their needs while we remain committed to prioritize EveryJuan’s health and safety,” he added.
Hong Kong-bound passengers are required to complete the HKG Department of Health Online Declaration form, and a negative RT-PCR test result valid within 72 hours before the scheduled departure time.
All guests are also mandated to present their confirmation of room reservation in a hotel in Hong Kong for at least 21 days. Vaccinated travelers will also be required to show their vaccination records.
Hong Kong on Sunday banned Philippine Airlines flights from Manila for two weeks, from August 29 to September 11, after three of its passengers tested positive for COVID-19.
Cebu Pacific started to gradually resume its international flights this month, with flights to Singapore and Tokyo.
Commercial air travel to and from Metro Manila was restricted from March 2020 and resumed only in June last year, after the easing of the community quarantine.
