CDO Foodsphere bags DOLE’s first Safety Seal certification

Food manufacturer CDO Foodsphere Inc. received the first Safety Seal certification awarded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the company announced Tuesday.

The Safety Seal certifies that an establishment was found to be compliant of health and safety guidelines set to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The certification was awarded in a joint memorandum circular of the DOLE and the Departments of Health, Interior and Local Government, and Trade and Industry.

"This is an affirmation and an encouragement to our employees on our joint efforts to keep our workplace safe for all of them," said President and Chief Executive Officer Jerome Ong.

The company's brands include San Marino, Highlands, Danes Cheese, and the CDO brand.

"For over a year since the community quarantines started in March 2020 we have proactively and continuously adapted to the evolving guidelines and protocols," said Ong.
