Cebu Pacific offers cheaper rates on swab test, antigen test

Budget airline Cebu Pacific on Tuesday said it is offering cheaper prices for RT-PCR and antigen tests for its passengers.

In a statement, Cebu Pacific said it now offers P2,500 for COVID-19 RT-PCR, gold standard for testing to make testing more affordable and accessible for passengers.

"CEB offers the RT-PCR test through its two accredited partners –Health Metrics, Inc. (HMI) and Safeguard DNA Diagnostics Inc. (SDDI). This special rate is solely for passengers booked on Cebu Pacific and Cebgo," the airline management said.

"Results are guaranteed to be released within 48 hours, while a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround period is priced at PHP 3,200 for both laboratories," it added.

Cebu Pacific, meanwhile, said the Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory (PADL) is also offering  RT-PCR testing valued at P3,000 and antigen test worth P700.

"The TBB testing facility at the NAIA Terminal 3 is also open for walk-ins daily, with fees to be directly paid to PADL," it added.

To regain passenger confidence, Cebu Pacific said it imposed testing as a requirement.

Meanwhile, Passengers booked on Cebu Pacific and Cebgo can book their appointments through http://bit.ly/CEBTestOptions.

However, the airline advised its passengers to always check with the LGU of their destination for updates regarding travel requirements.
