San Miguel says no disruptions in providing food, fuel, power amid NCR Plus ECQ
There will be no disruptions in the food, fuel, and power operations of San Miguel Corp. (SMC) amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) that will take place in the NCR Plus bubble this week, an official assured Sunday.
SMC president and chief operating officer Ramon Ang said the company is working to ensure that supplies are enough, and that the public and the conglomerate's employees are taken care of.
"We can turn this around but we need to work together. We all have a role to play," Ang, who previously tested positive for COVID-19 thrice, said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page.
Metro Manila and nearby provinces—collectively tagged NCR Plus—will be under ECQ starting midnight March 29 until Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Prior to the announcement of the ECQ, the government banned the non-essential entry and exit into the NCR Plus bubble during the same period. The bubble covers Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan.
