GCash says services restored
Services of GCash have been restored as of 6:41 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, following the temporary unavailability earlier during the day.
In an advisory posted on its social media accounts, GCash urged subscribers to clear caches to avoid any login issues moving forward.
"You may have experienced problems using the GCash App earlier. All GCash services are now restored," it said.
"For affected transactions, please be rest assured that funds are safe and will be processed within the next 24 hours," the advisory added.
GCash is operated by Globe Fintech Innocations Inc., as part of the portfolio of 917Ventures, the corporate incubator of Globe Telecom Inc. It did not provide details on the downtime earlier on Thursday.
