BPI to resume charging fund transfer service fee starting October 1
By TED CORDERO, GMA News
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is no longer waiving the P50 fund transfer service fee to other local banks done through its mobile app.
In an advisory to customers, BPI said starting October 1, 20202 it will resume the fees for the following services:
- Funds transfer to other banks via InstaPay and PESONet
- Funds transfer to unenrolled BPI accounts
To recall, the bank temporarily waived the P50 transfer service fee from March 18 until September 30, 2020 amid community quarantine restrictions which prompted increased demand for digital transactions.
Nevertheless, BPI said clients may continue to make free BPI-to-BPI transactions by transferring via QR Code or enrolling a third-party account. -MDM, GMA News
