Netizens complain of damaged packages delivered by J&T Express

After a video of J&T Express personnel carelessly throwing parcels into a truck went viral on social media, several netizens expressed disappointment after their packages from the courier services firm arrived damaged.

According to Chino Gaston’s Wednesday report on “24 Oras,” several online shoppers took to social media to air their complaints against the company.

One netizen said the french press he ordered arrived in pieces.

“Mas mainam na personal na lang bilhin ang item lalo kapag fragile kagaya nito,” the buyer said.

A box containing health supplies was also delivered soaking wet to another netizen.

“It arrived to us soaked and smelled of crude oil or used oil… How are we supposed to use the face masks when they also smelled awful!” the shopper said.

“Hello J&T Express Philippines, ganito na ba epekto ng paghagis-hagis niyo ng mga parcels? Parang nangatngat ng daga,” another netizen said.

President Rodrigo Duterte earlier ordered authorities to investigate complaints against J&T Express and threatened to shut down the firm if found liable.

The company vowed to cooperate with authorities and said it is open to any investigation. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
