Shopee Philippines resumes full operations, announces 5.5 Mart Sale

E-commerce platform Shopee on Monday announced a 5.5 Mart Sale, in line with the resumption of full operations to cover non-essential goods such as beauty products and fashion items.

In a statement, Shopee said it will offer deals as low as P5 and free shipping with P0 minimum spend on essential products such as food, personal hygiene, and health supplies until Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

"We're glad to announce that Shopee will be resuming full operations and nationwide fulfillment for all goods and services," said Martin Yu, associate director of Shopee Philippines.

"Aside from essential goods, our Filipino users can now have access to non-essential goods from different categories like fashion, beauty, and many more," he added.

According to Shopee, it will also offer discounts of up to 90% on fashion items, with cash on delivery available for all items.

"We are also working closely with our brands, sellers, and partners to ensure that we continue to provide our users with greater convenience and value during this period and beyond COVID-19," said Yu. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/KG, GMA News
