Banks to operate amid extended Luzon ECQ, group says
Philippine banks have committed to serve its clients during the entire period of the extended Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
“We will endeavor to operate in the same manner as we did these past three weeks of the enhanced community quarantine and trust the industry's resiliency and the cooperation of all sectors to overcome this health crisis,” the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP) said in a statement Wednesday.
This came after President Rodrigo Duterte extended the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine until April 30.
The BAP reiterated the commitment of the banking community in “doing all necessary measures to support the National Government in fighting against COVID-19.”
