Globe to extend due date for postpaid subscribers amid COVID-19 threat
Postpaid customers of Globe Telecom Inc. will be given a 30-day payment extension for both mobile and broadband services.
In an advisory, the Ayala-led telco said it will implement the extension given the quarantine measures implemented amid the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
"To help you remain connected with your loved ones, we are giving all Glove Postpaid (mobile and broadband), including business and enterprise customers nationwide, a 30-day bill payment extension from your due date," it said.
Sought for more details, Globe said those covered by the extension are subscribers with bills due on the quarantine period ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte from March 15 to April 14.
During the quarantine period, travel to and from Metro Manila will be restricted. Other provinces such as Cebu and Batangas have implemented similar measures.
"Globe is one with the entire country in these trying times... Now more than ever, we understand your need to stay #SafeAtHome," the Ayala-led telco said. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/JST, GMA News
