Petron to hike LPG prices on January 1, 2020

Households will welcome the New Year with higher liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices as Petron Corporation announced a hike on the price of its LPG products, effective January 1, 2020.

In an advisory issued on Tuesday, Petron said it will implement a P7.55 per kilogram increase in LPG prices.

This means an increase of P83.05 per 11-kilogram LPG tank.

The price adjustment will take effect 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

"AutoLPG prices will likewise increase by P4.25 per liter at the same time," Petron said.

The price hikes reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of January, the company said. — Ted Cordero/BM, GMA News
