FDA warns against buying 34 food products, supplements, and vitamins

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned consumers against buying and consuming 34 food products, supplements, and vitamins in a series of advisories.

The products ranging from teas, nuts, candies, juice, and chocolates, to vitamin C, glutathione, and collagen are not certified and registered, the FDA said.

In Advisory No. 2019-498, the FDA said these products are not authorized and have not been issued Certificates of Product Registration:

• SOLGAR ESTER-C PLUS 1000 mg Vitamin C Dietary Supplement

• DELICIOUS HERBAL FORMULA ULTRA SLIM TEA Cran-Raspberry Herbal Tea

• GOOD DAY CHOCOLATE ENERGY SUPPLEMENT Candy Coated Pieces Dietary Supplement

• YUM EARTH Gummy Bears

The FDA also warned against the following products in Advisory No. 2019-496:

• GOLDEN NATURE Turmeric Tea

• CHRO-PLUS Herbal Dietary Supplement 500 mg Capsules

• GENWHITE Glutathione plus Collagen Capsules

• THORNE Chromium Picolinate Dietary Supplement Capsules

• AMAZING Serpentina Herbal Supplement Capsule

The following products are unregistered, according to Advisory No. 2019-494:

• BICOL DELICACY REGALADO Baquiron de Pili

• SWEETVEN Chocolate Sweet bites-Dark Chocolate

• SWEETVEN Milk Chocolate with Pilinuts

• SWEETVEN Bittersweet Chocolate with Pilinuts

• SWEETVEN Dark Chocolate with Pilinuts

Advisory No. 2019-493 warned against purchasing and consuming the following:

• HOME MADE Products Ube

• RJ Delicacies Special Pili Tart

• DE GUZMAN Pilinut Candies Sugar Coated

• PERFECTION™ Red Juice No Sugar Added

• PERFECTION™ Green Tea No Sugar Added

Advisory No. 2019-491 lists the following products as unregistered:

• JULIET’S NATIVE DELIGHTS SABANA Banana Chips

• JULIET’S NATIVE DELIGHTS Sunflower Seeds

• L&J HOMEMADE CANDY Pastillas Stick Assorted

• GOODY GOODY Strings Sea Salt Sweet Potato Shoestrings

• GOODY GOODY Banana Chips Premium Sweet Chili

The FDA also warned against the following products in Advisory No. 2019-490:
