Widow of late John Gokongwei dies at 85

The widow of John Gokongwei, Jr. died on Saturday at the age of 85 years old, exactly a week after the late business tycoon's demise, according to her family.

According to a report by Luisito Santos on Super Radyo dzBB, Elizabeth Yu Gokongwei passed away a week after the death of her husband, who died at the age of 93 on November 9.

The family has yet to release a statement on the cause of her death.

Meanwhile, the funeral will be held privately.

John, the founder and chairman emeritus of JG Summit Holdings, Inc., died at the Manila Doctor's Hospital.
