IBEX invests $13.5M in expanding PHL operations
Business process outsourcing (BPO) provider IBEX Global Solutions Plc. on Wednesday said it has invested some $13.5 million to expand its Philippine operations.
In a press conference in Alabang, IBEX Global chief executive officer Bob Dechant said the investment will expand the Philippine operations by 2,700 seats in three sites.
With every 500 seats valued at $2.5 million, the total expansion would amount to $13.5 million.
“This is the first of three new sites we are launching in the Philippines for a total expansion of over 2,700 seats in 120 days,” Dechant said, referring to the Alabang office.
IBEX has also expanded its sites in Cubao, Quezon City and in Bohol.
With multiple shifts, the 2,700 seats would be able to accommodate up to 4,500 workers.
“IBEX has been growing well above the market, which means new jobs and career advancement for our people,” said Dechant.
“Our growth is the result of an engaged and high-performing workforce and our ability to offer broader solutions than the traditional BPOs,” he added.
Prior to its expansion, IBEX has put up operations in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Parañaque, and Davao.
“We’re gonna continue to grow in Metro Manila and we’re gonna continue to grow in provincial areas,” said Dechant.
With the addition of Alabang and other sites, IBEX is set to employ over 10,000 workers by the end of the year, and reach 12,500 by June 2020.
“We want to ensure we are one IBEX family. Our culture is built on that concept,” said Potski Alvarez, senior vice president and country manager of IBEX Philippines. —VDS, GMA News
