PAL to open new domestic routes in December 2019, January 2020

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Tuesday announced the opening of new domestic routes by mid-December 2019 and early January 2020.

In a statement, PAL said the opening of new routes is in "response to renewed calls for increased connectivity between the Visayas and Mindanao Regions."

The following flights will be launched by the airline:

  • New flights by Dec. 15: Cebu - Dipolog - Cebu 3x/week
    • PR 2559 Cebu to Dipolog (M/W/F/Su) Dep: 7:00 a.m. / Arr: 8:00 a.m.
    • PR 2560 Dipolog to Cebu (M/W/F/Su) Dep: 8:30 a.m. / Arr: 9:30 a.m.
  • New flights by Dec. 15: Cebu - Zamboanga - Cebu 14x/week
    • PR 2991 Cebu to Zamboanga (Daily) Dep: 5:40 a.m. / Arr.: 7:10 a.m.
    • PR 2992 Zamboanga to Cebu (Daily)Dep: 4:00 p.m. / Arr: 5:30 p.m.
    • PR 2995 Cebu to Zamboanga (Daily)Dep: 2:00 p.m. / Arr: 3:30 p.m.
    • PR 2996 Zamboanga to Cebu (Daily)Dep: 4:00 p.m. /Arr: 5:30 p.m.
  • New flights by Jan 3: Davao - Iloilo - Davao 7x/week
    • PR 2539 Davao to Iloilo (Daily)Dep: 6:30 a.m. / Arr: 8:20 a.m.
    • PR 2540 Iloilo to Davao (Daily)Dep: 8:40 a.m. / Arr: 10:30 a.m.
  • New flights by Dec 15: Zamboanga - Tawi-Tawi - Zamboanga (Daily)
    • PR 2485 Zamboanga to Tawi - Tawi (Daily) Dep: 8:00 a.m. / Arr.: 9:30 a.m.
    • PR 2486 Tawi - Tawi to Zamboanga (Daily) Dep: 10:00 a.m. / Arr.:11:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, in anticipation of increased demand during the holiday season and afterwards, the following routes will increase in frequency:
