Isetann hoping mall issues resolved quickly

The Isetann Department Store and Supermarket, both located at the shuttered Isetann Cinerama Mall on Recto Avenue, will also shut down their operations until further notice.

The department store management said it was hoping that the mall would resolve the issues that the Manila City government found in order for it to resume normal operations.

"In compliance with the closure order of Cinerama Mall by the City Hall of Manila, wherein Isetann Department Store and Supermarket Recto are located, we will temporarily shut down operations until further notice," Isetann department store marketing group head Joyie Dimayuga said in a statement.

"We fully support the advocacy of the city mayor and hoping of the mall's quick actions to resolve the issues concerning Cinerama Complex. We believe this is only temporary and we look forward to serve you again soon," Dimayuga added.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno earlier shut down the Isetann mall without the required business permits and wrongly declaring the number of its employees and the size of its establishment. 

The local government of Manila found the anomalies after it discovered that stolen gadgets were being sold in the mall. —NB, GMA News
