Gozon had no involvement in INQ7 ops, ready to face suit
Atty. Felipe L. Gozon had no involvement in the operations of INQ7 Interactive Inc.
"As Chairman of INQ7, he only presided over the meetings of the Board and had no involvement or participation in the operations of the company. Gozon resigned from INQ7 in 2017," said a statement released on Thursday.
Gozon's clarification comes after he was named in a Bureau of Internal Revenue press release saying they filed a tax evasion complaint against INQ7 Interactive, Inc. Gozon and Inquirer.net president Paolo Prieto were included as responsible corporate officers.
The BIR alleged that INQ7 has a tax liability of P23,479,467.13 from 2006, but the press release did not go into further detail.
"Atty. Gozon has yet to receive a copy of the complaint. He is ready to answer whatever charges as soon as he receives it," the statement added. —with a report from Nicole-Anne C. Lagrimas/JST, GMA News
