MRT3 power supply problem 'internal,' says Meralco spox
Meralco on Friday denied that insufficient power supply coming from the power distribution firm caused the suspension of MRT3 operations during the morning rush hour.
"Wala ho tayong insufficient power supply," Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV. "Malaki ho yung ating reserba for today. Adequate po yung supply ng Meralco sa araw na ito."

Zaldarriaga: Wala kaming kinalaman doon.

Zaldarriaga sought to clarify reports circulating online that seemed to blame Meralco for the suspension in MRT3 operations, which caused many commuters to be stranded.
He said since the suspension, Meralco has been bombarded with inquiries seeking clarification.
"Internal ang problema nila (MRT3), wala ho tayong kinalaman doon. Yung supply ng kuryente from Meralco to the MRT is all okay and stable," Zaldarriaga said. —KBK, GMA News
