Salarium banks on new payroll software to expand client base


Payrolls solutions startup Salarium is aiming to grow its client base to 20,000 with a new processing software for large enterprises.

In a media roundtable in Makati City on Thursday, Salarium launched its new its payrolls software SALPay 3.0.

Founder and CEO Judah Hirsch said version 3.0, with its “highly customizable payroll solutions,” targets large enterprises in the Philippines.

The company’s client base currently consist of around 600 small and medium enterprise (SME), Hirsch noted.

He said the new software will address the requirements of bigger businesses in the Philippines.

“We are targeting to grow to 20,000 ... We like to do the 20,000 in 24 months, or by the latter part of 2021,” Hirsch said.

To hit its target, the company would have to grow four-folds quarterly.

“We will grow 400% per quarter,” Hirsh noted, saying this is achievable the company is now operating in its “hyper-growth stage.”

“If you’re familiar with stages in startups ... there’s a stage called product market fit, then you have growth, then hyper-growth stage. We’re already in the last stage.

“We’re thinking how we can double every month," he added.

“We want to get every large corporation in the Philippines as our goal is to get one in 10 Filipinos—that’s about 4.5 million people.”

“We’re talking to many large corporations now, and we hope to announce some partnerships with some of the biggest employers in the country very soon,” he added.

Founded in 2013, the payrolls software firm provides business solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency in managing payrolls systems. —VDS, GMA News
