P2P bus service starts serving Pandi, Bulacan-Trinoma route

A point-to-point (P2P) bus service began its Pandi, Bulacan-Trinoma route and back on Monday, according to a report by Bam Alegre on GMA News' Unang Balita.

The first bus from Pandi departed from Siling Bata Wet Market at around 6 a.m. and went through Balagtas, Plaridel Bypass Road, then Mindanao Avenue and on to EDSA to Trinoma Mall.

HM Transport Inc. operations manager Jojo Fernandez said the company thought of servicing the route "para makapagserbisyo sa taumbayan."

Prior to the company's P2P bus service, commuters had to endure two hours of commute via three modes of public transportation: tricycle, jeep, then a bus from Sta. Maria going to Metro Manila.

With the new P2P buses, commuters will cut their commute time to Metro Manila to about an hour and a half.

The company offered an introductory fare of P100 to passengers, but this will become P170 in the future.

The new route is the first bus route from Pandi and the first P2P service.

The air conditioned P2P buses are comfortable and equipped with CCTV and GPS.

One of the commuters on the first trip said she is happy about the new bus service.

"Masaya po... Hindi na kami iikot ng Sta. Maria," she said. —KG, GMA News
