BPI to start charging for some online, mobile transfers


Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) announced that it would charge customers who use selected online and mobile app transfer transactions.

In an advisory dated May 30, the BPI said the following fees would apply starting July 1.

  • Transfer to other banks via Instapay - P50 per transaction
  • Transfer to unenrolled 3rd party account (except via QR code) - P10 per transaction
  • Transfer to unenrolled accounts via QR code - free for a limited time period
  • Dollar to Peso Transfer - free
  • Transfer to own and enrolled accounts - free

The BPI advised its customers to enroll third party account/s to continue enjoying fund transfers at no cost.

"Just visit any branch or mail a signed Third Party Account Enrollment Form," the BPI said. —JST, GMA News
