Emmanuel Rubio to take over Aboitiz Power Jan. 1, 2020

Aboitiz Power Corp. Chief Operating Officer (COO) Emmanuel Rubio is set to take over the company starting next year, following the scheduled retirement of its current Chief Executive officer Erramon Aboitiz.

In a regulatory filing on Monday, the company announced the unanimous approval of the Board of Directors of the appointment of Emmanuel Rubio as the president and CEO effective January 1, 2020.

He will take over from current CEO Erramon Aboitiz, who is scheduled to retire also on that day.

Prior to being appointed as the COO of Aboitiz Power on June 1, 2018, Rubio served as the company's Executive Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer of the Power Generation Group from 2014 to 2018.

Rubio also previously served as President of Consolidated Industrial Gases Inc. from 2003 to 2007, where he also served as Vice President for Sales and Marketing from 1996 to 2001. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/RSJ, GMA News
