PAL to hold 'biggest' seat sale yet on Friday, March 1, 2019

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Wednesday announced promotional fares for both domestic and international flights, said to be the "biggest" sale of the carrier to date.

In a press conference in Manila, PAL said it will make its 78th anniversary with promotional fares—P78 base fares for domestic trips, and $78 base fares for international trips.

The booking period will start on Friday, March 1, and will run until March 10, 2019. The travel period has been set from March 16 to December 31, 2019.

According to PAL vice president for sales Ryan Uy, over 2 million seats are available under the promotional fares—the bulk or 60 percent for domestic trips, and 40 percent for international trips.

Most of the seats—1.9 million in fact—will be for economy, while 260,000 seats will be for premium economy, and another 170,000 for business class.

"We invite them to take advantage of special fares in our 78th anniversary sale, our biggest sale for the year, where we offer deep discounts across our Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class cabins, on flights to domestic and international destinations," said vice president for marketing Ria Domingo.

"Passengers can book these fares online, in any PAL ticket office, PAL contact center or any PAL accredited travel agency," added Domingo. —KG, GMA News
