Uy’s Global Gateway to sublease 2.3 hectares of Clark Global City to DataLand
Global Gateway Development Corp. (GGDC) is in advanced talks to sublease some 2.3 hectares in Clark Global City to property developer DataLand Inc.
DataLand intends to build an office building, a dormitel, and hotel in 2.3 hectares of Global Gateway’s 177-hectare leasehold in Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
“We see the phenomenal growth in Clark, where there is continuous development in infrastructure that affects its economic progress,” said DataLand president Andrea Marie Tamayo-Ulep.
Established in 2011, DataLand is the property development arm of DDT Konstract Inc., its exclusive contractor. It focuses on residential, retail, and commercial developments, as well as hospitality and leisure projects.
Among its projects are The Silk Residences in Sta. Mesa in Manila, The Olive Place along Shaw Boulevard, and the 4-star Ivywall Hotel in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
“We believe that a partnership with GGDC is a strategic move and we look forward to building developments that help create a progressive environment in one of the largest office markets in the Philippines,” said Ulep.
Chaired by Davao-based businessman, Global Gateway is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Udenna Development Corp.
Uy said DataLand will help Global Gateway realize “our vision for Clark Global City, which is integral to the development of the country’s next big metropolis that could further drive economic growth throughout the archipelago.” —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
