Accenture Philippines is embracing technological advancements across the globe, with the rise of new developments in artificial intelligence (AI), the company said Wednesday.

“We are transforming our business based on what is happening to the digital transformation. Accenture is leading in this pivot to the ‘new’,” Lito Tayag, Accenture Philippines country managing director, said Wednesday.

The business transformation covers interactivity, mobility, analytics, cloud, and security, Tayag said during a press conference in Taguig City.

“Innovation is going to be at the heart and core of Accenture’s transformation …  and will continue to be the core and heart of our transformation,” he said.

The information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector is now facing threats such as AI.

Last year, Tayag cited the need to “upskill” the workforce with the advent of AI.

“Artificial intelligence is one of the technologies that are disrupting businesses and are changing the way the world works and lives,” Tayag said Wednesday.

“There’s always a need for us to upskill our people. We focus our people in terms of upskilling that would include new technologies including AI,” he added. —VDS, GMA News
