HSBC Philippines launches portal for cyber security, payments fraud awareness
HSBC Philippines has launched a portal within its digital banking platform to promote cyber security and fraud awareness.
HSBCnet Plus—a non-transactional portal is designed to provide value-added information, services and tools for the bank’s customers.
“Cyber security and fraud risk management are important areas of interest for our customers and there is noticeable increase in fraudulent activity,” HSBC head of Wholesale Banking for Philippines Michael Brennan said.
The bank is working with its customers by addressing relevant and emerging themes, and them to protect and grow their businesses, Brennan said in a statement.
The new platform is within the HSBCnet mobile app—which was approved by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in April.
The portal is designed to help customers protect, inform and grow their businesses through relevant HSBC and third party tools, services and intelligence, according to HSBC Philippines.
It features a cyber security and fraud awareness zone containing relevant educational materials, up-to-date case studies and practical advice.
“We continue to develop innovative products and services that are simple, convenient and useful for our corporate customers. HSBCnet Plus is a good example of our deep understanding of what is important to our customers,” Brennan said. —Ted Cordero/VDS, GMA News
