SSS now accepting contribution payments from employers via GCash

Companies registered with the Social Security System (SSS) may now opt to pay their employees’ contributions via GCash, Globe Telecom Inc. said Tuesday.

All employers registered with the SSS can use GCash and the payment will be reflected real-time in their accounts using their payment reference number, according to Globe.

“This is part of the continuing improvements in the recently implemented new SSS collection system that makes use of PRNs to allow real-time posting of contributions," SSS President and CEO Emmanuel Dooc said.

“In partnership with Globe’s GCash, PRN-based contribution payment is now made faster and easier for business and household employers through their mobile phones,” he said.

The service is available to employers through the GCash app, or the Globe customer service hotline *143#.

Employers must assign a four-digit personal identification number or PIN which will be keyed in as well as other relevant information.
