IBEX Global employs GCash to pay salaries

Business process outsourcing firm IBEX Global has teamed up with Globe Telecom Inc.’s GCash for real-time disbursements of employees’ salaries.

The partnership allows IBEX Global pay the salaries, incentives, and allowances of employees in real time using the GCash PowerPay+.

“With this partnership, IBEX Global will not only have the advantage of a seamless web-based disbursement platform but will also be part of a growing community that drives financial inclusion in the country,” Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu said in an emailed statement.

Globe, Jack Ma’s Ant Financial, and Globe parent Ayala Corp. own Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt) which operates GCash.

Provided that internet is accessible, GCash PowerPay+ service enables corporations to disburse funds regardless of the time and place.

Employees can access their funds through their GCash accounts, using GCash Mastercard which functions as a debit card.

They can also send and receive money and transact through the GCash application which now allows cashless purchases through quick response (QR) codes in select stores. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
