LTFRB show cause order vs. Grab for alleged unauthorized charges

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Thursday issued a show cause order against Grab Philippines operator MY TAXI.PH Inc. to explain why its accreditation should not be canceled or suspended for supposedly overcharging its passengers P2 per minute of travel time.

In a document signed by the board's legal division, the LTFRB said to submit a written explanation within five days of receiving the order, and to appear before a hearing on Tuesday, April 17.

If Grab fails to follow the directive, the case would be decided based only on records of the board, the order read.
