DOTr to launch Alabang-Ortigas-Mandaluyong P2P bus route on Tuesday
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and RRCG Transport are launching on Tuesday a new point-to-point (P2P) bus service from Alabang to Ortigas and Mandaluyong.
In an emailed statement, the DOTr said the P2P service from Alabang Starmall to Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas Center and Starmall Mandaluyong starts on Tuesday, December 20.
The 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. service is charging an introductory fare of P80, including free WiFi and an "on-board acoustic session" for the Christmas season.
"The service offers passengers from the south of Metro Manila with an alternative mode of transport," DOTr Assistant Secretary for Road Mark De Leon said.
The new service is supposed to help address traffic congestion, especially during the Christmas season.
"The more private car users use public transportation, such as the P2P, the lesser the number of cars there are along the roads. Thus, we can expect to see an improvement in travel time with less congestion," De Leon said. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VS, GMA News
