Gasoline prices to go up, diesel and kerosene to go down
Oil companies are adjusting the pump prices of petroleum products starting Tuesday to reflect changes in the price of oil in global markets.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. on Monday said it is adding P0.20 per liter to the price of gasoline while cutting the prices of diesel by P0.10 and kerosene by P0.15 per liter. The price adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday, the company said.
The same adjustments will be implemented by Chevron Philippines Inc., Flying V, and SEAOIL Philippines Inc.
In a separate advisory, Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. said it is also adjusting the pump prices for diesel (-P.10) and gasoline (+P.20) effective at 6:01 a.m. on October 25. "This is due to movement in the international oil market," it said.
Phoenix Petroleum Corp., and Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc., will also apply the same changes.
Department of Energy (DOE) data shows that diesel prices in the country currently range from P27.40 to P30.75 per liter, and gasoline from P35.40 to P44.94. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/VDS/RSJ, GMA News
