PAL’s computerized check-in system breaks down at NAIA
Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) computerized check-in system broke down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 (NAIA2) on Friday afternoon prompting the carrier to go manual.
PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said that the glitch happened around 4:50 p.m. in the check-in system of their international wing at the NAIA-2.

“What we are doing at the moment is we have reverted to manual check-in to ensure na tuloy-tuloy ang serbisyo sa pasahero,” Villaluna said.
The PAL spokesperson noted that only international flights are affected by the system breakdown while the domestic flights have no problem in its checking system.
However, long queues due to manual check-in caused inconvenience to airline passengers.
“Mahaba na ang pila sa ngayon kaya humihingi kami ng paumanhin… Kami ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa lahat ng aming pasahero sa inconvenience na nararanasan nila,” Villaluna said.

She said that the management of PAL was already investigating what caused the breakdown in its computer system at NAIA2’s international wing.
