Cebu Pacific gets new Airbus aircraft
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has added a brand new Airbus A320 to its fleet, the company said on Monday.
In an emailed statement, Cebu Pacific said it received on April 25 its 36th Airbus A320 from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France.
The latest acquisition brings the Cebu Pacific fleet to 57 aircraft – six Airbus 330, seven Airbus A319, eight ATR 72-500, and 36 Airbus A320. According to the company, its fleet remains one of the youngest in the world with an average aircraft age of 4.78 years.
"We continue to optimize our growing fleet, enabling more passengers to reap the benefits of fast, seamless, and affordable air travel," Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Affairs JR Mantaring said.
"We are looking forward to taking additional planes this year until 2021, to serve the ever-growing domestic and international markets," he added.
Last year, the airline also ordered 16 ATR 72-600 turboprop planes set to be delivered between July and September this year. – Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
