Prototype MRT coaches arrive at North Avenue Depot
(Updated 3:49 a.m.) The new prototype coaches for the Metro Rail Transit 3 were brought to the MRT's North Avenue Depot in Quezon City early Saturday morning, Super Radyo dzBB reported.

Assembly of the prototype began Thursday at the Light Rail Transit depot in Pasay City.
The coaches, supplied by Chinese firm Dalian Locomotive, will undergo testing until October or November before more new coaches can be shipped to the Philippines and used on the MRT line.

The 48 new coaches for the train line are expected to start arriving in January 2016.
