UAE construction firm outourcing design to RP
MANILA, Philippines- The local unit of a Middle East-based curtain wall design and fabricator company is looking for Filipino engineers and CAD designers as they spearhead major construction projects in Abu Dhabi. Reemalum Philippines, the Southeast Asia division of Reem Emirates Aluminum, is planning to outsource the talent of Filipino structural engineers who will work on the Abu Dhabi project from the Philippine office. RAP will service REA clients in the UAE, with projects in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Local engineers and designers coordinate with UAE-based consultants and architects in all phases of the projects. In a statement, REA General Manager Derek Bruce said the company chose the Philippines as the location of its strategic design business division due to its advanced information technology and infrastructure, high literacy, favorable foreign direct investment incentives, and attractive labor costs compared to other countries. âThe Philippines is known internationally for producing talented engineers and architects. REA is fortunate to have the opportunity to leverage this attractive HR resource," Bruce said. âLocally, it wants to become a preferred local employer. RAP provides additional design manpower strength to REA, and its business design provides the parent company a competitive edge in terms of cost and efficiency without compromising quality and client satisfaction," he added. At present, RAP employs 24 CAD designers, CAD operators, structural engineers, and administration staff. The company is recruiting additional specialists as it expands. - GMANews.TV
