Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, Siargao among Condé Nast Traveler's 'Best Islands' in Asia

Four Philippine islands were named in the Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Top 10 Readers' Choice Awards for the best islands in Asia.

As seen on the US-based luxury and lifestyle travel magazine's website, Boracay landed on the third spot, earning a rating of 91.99.

Palawan placed sixth with a rating of 90.68, while Cebu & Visayan Islands got the eight spot with a rating of 90.29.

Siargao also made it to the list, ranking 10th with a 89.2 rating.

Here are the Condé Nast Traveler's Top 10 Islands in Asia for 2024:

  10. Siargao, Philippines

According to CNT, over 500,000 readers have cast their votes in the annual Readers' Choice Awards survey.

Previously, Boracay, Palawan and Siargao made it to CNT's 2023 Top 10 Islands in Asia, placing third, sixth, and 10th, respectively. Cebu and Visayan Islands was also named the Best Island in Asia by CNT in 2020.

Boracay, located in the municipality of Malay, Aklan, has been admired for its pristine white beaches and stunning sunset. In September, the island bagged Asia's Leading Luxury Island Destination at the World Travel Awards

Palawan, an archipelagic province located in Southern Luzon, is known for its crystal clear waters, lush tropical landscapes, and idyllic white-sand beaches and has long been celebrated for its responsible and sustainable tourism practices.

In January, it ranked fourth in Tripadvisor's annual Traveler's Choice Award Best of the Best, behind Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; and Halong Bay in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Siargao, located in Surigao del Norte province, is a surfer's paradise and a favorite among the global surfing community. The island regularly hosts international and local surfing competitions where some of the best surfers of the world convene.

In July, the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines" topped the Lonely Planet's list of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia.
