Yael Yuzon visits 'Queen of Tears' locations in South Korea to shoot music video for upcoming song
Yael Yuzon has visited the filming locations of "Queen of Tears" in South Korea to shoot a music video for an upcoming song inspired by the hit K-drama.
On Instagram, the Sponge Cola frontman shared a reel of him exploring the tourist spots. In the reel, Yael can be seen visiting a restaurant, a batting center, and a hill with a majestic view of the sunset.
Yael said that the upcoming song, titled "Tatlong Buwan," is his "labor of love" as a fan of the series.
"Wrote our new song Tatlong Buwan after watching episode 10 of Queen of Tears and boom, flew in and out of Korea, and the music video shoot is done!" Yael said.
"I couldn't help it, it was too moving to not write. There was an overwhelming need for a catharsis. Aww," he added.
"Tatlong Buwan" will be released on April 24 on all music platforms.
"Queen of Tears" is the hottest K-drama on Netflix right now. According to Netflix, "Queen of Tears" has been in the Philippine Top 10 TV charts for five weeks now. It's also placed in the TV charts for 40 other countries.
It also surpassed "Goblin" as the second highest-rated romance drama series on the South Korean TV network, tvN, scoring an average nationwide rating of 20.7%. "Crash Landing on You" remains on top.
"Queen of Tears" stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won. It follows the story of Hong Hae In, a third-generation chaebol heiress of Queens Group, and her husband Baek Hyun Woo, a lawyer and the legal director of the company. The couple is on the brink of divorce.
The series is set to air its finale episode on Netflix on April 28.
This is not the first time a K-drama inspired Yael to write a song. Previously, Sponge Cola released the song "Siguro Nga," which was based on 2020 series "Start-Up."
