Sea creatures you can swim with this summer and where to find them


It's getting hot in the Philippines, so no doubt we're all itching to hit the seas.

But why not level up your next island experience by swimming with sea creatures?

There are a variety of sea creatures you can see up close, as seen in a report on "Unang Hirit" on Wednesday.

1. Sea turtles in Dumaguete

In Dumaguete, you can easily spot sea turtles even in the shallow parts of Apo Island.

Just snorkeling will allow you to get a good glimpse of them, but if you want a longer bonding time with them, you can go diving.

A session costs P6,000 per head, and will allow you to swim with sea turtles to your heart's content.

2. Sardines in Moalboal, Cebu

For a fascinating underwater sight, head to Moalboal, Cebu.

The clear waters this summer will let you easily see the thousands and thousands of sardines as you swim with them.

3. Butanding in Oslob, Cebu

 

Of course, we can't miss out on the butanding in Oslob, Cebu.

Summer is the best time to go whale shark watching. A session costs P1,700 per head, and it already includes a tour guide and a boat ride.

This is a popular tourist activity, with people from all over the world taking their chance to swim with the whale sharks.

4. All kinds of fish in Coron, Palawan

In Coron, Palawan, you can swim and feed the fish, allowing you a closer look at underwater life.
