Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo are having a fun celebration following the Billboard Women in Music Awards.

After Sarah won the Global Force Award at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California, she treated her team to a day out in Universal Studios, Matteo said in a live report on "Unang Hirit" on Friday.

"Ngayon araw, sampo 'yung team ni Sarah, sa lahat ng hard work nila, trineat namin sila sa Unviersal para mag-enjoy sila today," he said.

Matteo added that Sarah is in talks with music producers, and then they will be returning to the Philippines within the next two days.

The host and actor expressed pride over his wife's achievement.

"Siya lang 'yung Pinay na nakatanggap ng award na ganyan," he said.

"Maraming maraming salamat sa suporta ng lahat ng Pilipino, maraming salamat," he added.

Sarah made history as the first Filipina to be honored at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.

The Popstar Royalty wore a pink custom-made Michael Cinco corset dress and sported a wolf cut hair for the event.

In her acceptance speech, she said she hopes "that one day, this meaningful moment will bridge the gap between the Philippines and other nations, collaborating, uniting as one to create change and positivity in the world through music. Once again I am Sarah Geronimo, from the Philippines. Mabuhay ang OPM. Maraming maraming Salamat po."
