Experience cherry blossoms in PH with these sakura-like trees in Cagayan, Kalinga

Filipinos no longer need to fly abroad just to have a cherry blossom-like experience.

In Saleema Refran's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, Salinggogon trees, which bloom with attractive pink flowers, can be found a the national highway of Alcala in Cagayan.

The trees, which were planted by the Alcala local government unit, can grow up to 140 feet.

Meanwhile in Kalinga, madre de cacao or kakawate trees also flourish with their Instagrammable beauty.

These trees are located in Barangay Polo in Tabuk City, making them an affordable option should you want to achieve the same visuals that Japan's cherry blossoms have.

Aside from these trees, Benguet, Cavite, Palawan, and Rizal also take pride in their sakura-esque trees.
