Jodi Sta. Maria gets her face painted on Chile tour
Jodi Sta. Maria has gotten her face painted during her trip to Easter Island (Rapa Nui) in Chile!
On Instagram, the 41-year-old actress shared a photo of her while trying the face paint of the Rapa Nui people who are habiting the place.
Jodi said that face painting or Takona in the Rapa Nui culture denotes social status with the tribe, celebrates certain rituals and events, or prove that someone has passed their rite of passage.
"Immersing myself in local culture. Turning Rapa Nui," she said.
In a separate Instagram post, Jodi shared the famous Moai statue carved by the Rapa Nui people, saying that it "felt surreal" seeing it up close.
"I only read about you in books and now we finally meet face to face," she said.
Jodi has been quite the traveler, having traveled to different countries across the world.
She previously traveled to Antarctica, checking off her travel bucket list to complete all 7 continents.
In June of last year, Jodi and her son Thirdy went on a Silk Road tour in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Jodi recently starred in "Unbreak My Heart" a historic collaboration between GMA, ABS-CBN, and Viu Philippines, alongside Gabbi Garcia, Joshua Garcia, and Richard Yap.
