VP Sara promotes Cebu tourism through hiking

Vice President Sara Duterte Cebu tourism

Vice President Sara Duterte on Sunday said that she went on a hiking adventure in Dalaguete, Cebu to promote its local tourism.

In a social media post, Duterte shared photos of her conquering the “2 peaks in one day” hiking challenge.

Among those she hiked, she said, was Osmeña Peak, which took her 45 minutes.

(Along the way, we saw an anthurium farm and a variety of fresh vegetable gardens. But, the real score was seeing the view at the top—the Chocolate Hills-like mountains, and the entire island of Cebu.)

The Vice President underscored the importance of supporting local tourism for a better community.

(It’s very important that we continue to support local tourism and its associations in every barangay we visit. Each step in the hiking is also a step towards a stronger and more prosperous community and country.) — Giselle Ombay/BM, GMA Integrated News
